Exploring the Beauty and Wonder of Biodiversity

BioAccess Australia researches and documents biodiversity, the breathtaking variety and complexity of life on Earth. We communicate this knowledge along three main pathways, each tailored for a different audience but sharing the same foundation, modern systematics and our innovative use of technology.

ePublishing

Our ePublishing platform delivers our research in scholarly PDF form directly on the website. The viewer interface has been carefully refined for a focused, intuitive reading experience on both computers and touch devices.

Each publication is available immediately after purchase and can be accessed on any device with a modern web browser through ‘My Account’ on the website (one login permitted at a time).

Database

The richness and beauty of the natural world is showcased in our visual biodiversity database featuring high quality images and scientific information on Australasia and the Indo-West Pacific region. The fast, easy-to-use database is searchable using species, common name, genus, higher taxon, environment, habitat and locality. Many of the images are also available for purchase and download (see Terms and Conditions).

Consultancy

Through direct engagement with our clients, our consultancy services apply our taxonomic expertise to practical projects, ranging from environmental impact studies and biomonitoring programs to the formal recognition of new species of high conservation value. Our deliverables typically include written reports, publication-ready manuscripts, or desktop-published field guides and identification keys. In each case, we prioritise timely delivery, accuracy, clarity, and informative results.
