Species Account

A wide-ranging Central Indo-West Pacific species typically found in mangrove estuaries but also occurring in small, coastal freshwater streams. In estuaries, primarily an arboreal species living under bark but may also be found in fallen logs. The species also burrows into the banks of small freshwater streams close to the sea. Carapace square-shaped. Dirty green to dark brown with broad dark bands on the legs, chelae tinged with purple or red. Body width to 25 mm. — John W. Short, 2026
