Species Account
A small, upland species endemic to the upper Johnstone and Barron Rivers above 700 m elevation, northeast Queensland, Australia. Primarily in upland streams flowing through pastoral land with disturbed or cleared riparian vegetation. Rostrum moderately short, extending beyond tip of second segment of antennular peduncle, typically without teeth on upper and lower margins, rarely with single dorsal tooth apically; carapace with inferior orbital angle fused with antennal spine. Body translucent with numerous dark specks. Length to 20 mm. — John W. Short, 2026
