Species Account
A medium-sized species endemic to southwest Papua, Indonesia. Widely distributed in pandanus and sago palm swamps, rivers and streams to 135 m elevation. Rostrum long, slender, armed with 2 pairs of teeth (occasionally 3); chelipeds strongly developed in mature males, propodus (fixed finger) with red uncalcified patch. Chelipeds and upper carapace dark greenish-blue, branchiostegites mottled; abdomen with dark longitudinal band along dorsal mid-line. Length to 158 mm. — John W. Short, 2026
