Cyclograpsus audoinii (Round Shore Crab)
Species Account
A marine and estuarine, intertidal species known from eastern and southern Australia, New Guinea and Christmas Island. Lives under rocks in the middle and upper tidal zones on rocky shores and estuarine flats. Anterolateral carapace smooth, rounded, without teeth; legs stout, slightly flattened. Body brown to brownish-purple, often mottled with red, purple, dark grey or yellow. Body width to 40 mm. — John W. Short, 2026
