Species Account
A large, upland, endemic Australian species restricted to rainforest streams above 1000 m elevation on Mount Lewis and Mount Sturgeon on the Mount Carbine Tableland, northeast Queensland.. Found under rocks and fallen timber or in burrows near the waterline. Rostrum of large specimens U-shaped, chelipeds with upper carpus (wrist) lacking well-defined longitudinal groove and inner margin of manus (palm) with 4-5 spines. Body dark green to blue or brown with red spines. Length to 250 mm. — John W. Short, 2026
